How to open a jump ring: Do not try to pull them apart. Instead, using 2 pair of jewelry pliers twist the ring open sideways. To close use the same motion in reverse. See illustration below.
To begin, open a jumpring and put 2 beads onto it then close your jump ring.
Open another jump ring and slip it into the first jumpring, along with 2 to 3 more beads (depending on the size of your bead) and close. Continue adding a new jump ring and 2 to 3 more beads until your earrings are as long as you want them to be. See the illustration below.
While the illustrations show the fish hook style of ear wire you can use whatever style you prefer and using a new jump ring, slip it into the previous jumpring in your chain and into the hole in your ear wire and close. Repeat for the other ear.
We enjoyed seeing this earring in several colors and thought you might enjoy seeing the different colors too. Below is done in shades of oranges.
Here is one done in shades of blues.
Shades of pinks are bright, popular and fun colors.
This one is illustrated in turquoises. Imagine wearing these earrings with a western attire.
What more enchanting color to make leaf earrings in than shades of green!
We hope that these will inspire you to make your own pair. And we would absolutely just love it if you would share a photo of your creation with us.
Aren't they beautiful!
